Rhylan the 5 year old!!!

May 30, 2012
Our moving truck was supposed to come on Rhylan's birthday, but it was a day late.  So instead we decided to go have some fun for her birthday.  I gave her several options of something fun to do, she choose go see a movie.  We invited her friend Carissa to join us.

This is one silly girl, we sure love her around here.  I can't believe she is 5.

After dinner we went and got ice cream at Baskin Robins, her favorite place:)
Rhylan is one smart girl, she can't wait to go to kindergarten.  I am sure going to miss her but I know she will love it.  She is so social, she will make friends easy and always have a person to talk to.  She is so smart and quick to learn new things that I know she will just soak it all in.  She is so funny, I know her teacher will love her to pieces.  She is a little tenderhearted, I am worried about her feelings being hurt on the playground.  She is small, I am worried that kids will tease her about that (trust me I know!)  So many things are coming her way and she is ready for all of them--I might not be.

Around the house she is helpful, often times she will do a chore I never asked her to do.  She loves to help in anyway she can when it comes to Hazel.  She is constantly trying to create something. In our new house I have her an entire large kitchen drawer to keep all her art stuff inside.  She really liked that idea.  She also is a great dancer and singer.  Her imagination is limitless and she had a great sense of humor.  Rhylan is our little ray of happy sunshine.

Double Birthday!!

We decided to celebrate Rhylan's 5th and Jude's 2nd birthdays together while we were in Arizona.  There was already family in town for the graduation.  Our move to Oregon was scheduled for Rhylan's birthday, so we wanted to have her party before.  Jude loves Thomas, so my sister made him this really great train cake.  Rhylan looked at a ton of cakes of her favorite things on Pinterest with me, she finally decided that she wanted the scarlet macaw cake because they are her favorite animal.

For dinner we had hot dogs, watermelon, chips and salsa.  She loves hotdogs!

By far, Rhylan's favorite gift was the hula-hoop.  She had been asking me for one for months.  Here are her first rounds.  She is really good for a beginner.  It's so fun to watch her.

Zak's Graduation

My brother Zak graduated high school.  I am so glad we hadn't moved yet so we could go.  This is the main reason we went to Arizona, we just threw in a few other events to make it more exciting (double birthday party, baby blessing)

Here is Zak about ready to head up to the stage to get his diploma, he is giving 2 thumbs up, goof!  We had him laughing from the bleachers.  We held up signs that said Z A K... some of the time, but most of the time we were acting like we didn't know we were spelling it wrong (K A Z, or one letter would be upside down etc.) He thought we thought we were pretty cool.

Super Zak!

I love that there are 3 of us girls in the family.  We have so much fun when we get together. Thank goodness for blogs, telephones, texting, facebook, and skype!!!

Outdoor adventures

Grammy Sue and Papa have a trampoline, tire swing, and lots of rocks to play with.  My kids love going outside at there house!  We had so many fun things planned to do out there but the weather was SOOO windy the whole time, this is really the only day they could go play.

hazel and...

Hazel was the main attraction at my mom's house.  I hardly ever held her.  She was getting all kinds of love'n. She was almost 2 months old during our week long trip to Arizona for Zak's graduation.

Talking with Grammy Sue
Cuddling with Aunt Tiffany
Stretching with Nana
Sleeping with Daddy
Chilling with Mom

Hanging out with Aunt Carly
Snuggling with Uncle Zak

This is my 18 year old brother Zak.  He waited so patiently while Hazel was passed from person to person, after a couple days he finally got a turn.  He told me that he couldn't wait to be a dad (not happening any time soon!) But he just thought Hazel was so special and precious.
